Yeah I suppose it's just that we have to get used to it, I'm sure it's better in alot of ways but what I'm saying is that the 2.0 version is awesome too

If you don't like 3.0, too bad. 2.0 is going away and isn't coming back...
@larsi: Clearly you DON'T understand why ranks were removed if you're still asking for them to be put in. I am not going to put up with the 10000s of threads about what means what and the idiotic questions from people too stupid to take the two seconds to think logically or read a FAQ. Not to mention forum rank isn't reflective of ANYTHING except forum spam amount.
The new ranks give you your rank based on your interaction with the entire site, not JUST the forums.
Another HUGE reason I'm not putting them back is because of all the elitists with white names in 2.0. I am SICK of reading conversations where people claim that grays = noob. Hate to tell you all, but it doesn't work like that. Just because they don't spam the forums, doesn't mean that they aren't skilled.
And whatever "colour editin to do imo" you think it needs, it most likely isn't getting it. The design is completed and you're getting what is there. It's meant to be simple. YOU try paying the bills for a high bandwidth site.
As for signatures, you guys have had WAY too much freedom. I don't care if you supposedly can't fit anything... you have enough room for a "leaderboard size ad" image, which is more than enough. Your signatures are an eyesore on this site and you should be grateful that I didn't remove them completely.
Also, please keep 3.0 discussion in the 3.0 boards.

ok sorry, as i understand, the ranks were totally based on item making
Not exactly. The "Official WoW-V 3.0 Info" thread discusses various ways to earn reputation (which increases your rank). The focus of 3.0 is community interaction with items... so I suppose yes, in a way it only has to do with item making (and voting, etc). But that's the whole point of the site.
3.0 is the direction the site was initially supposed to take. WoW-V is meant to be a competitive arena for item making and sharing, we just didn't have the ideas or abilities to implement it the way we wanted when it was first conceived several years ago.
While 3.0 is vastly different, it is the intended path for the site. If you're familiar at all with the site NewGrounds, that is inspiration for the features we are developing. Post-3.0-release we will have more interaction (like "badges" other members can award items).

um, i understand it looks SEXAY, although i like the 2.0 design, its got nothing new apart from titles, search, more recent items, and a wierd TOP ITEMS thing, with one of my items that has 1 download, 14 comments and 0 points, so yerr...

You know what? I've had it with you OmgCoW. You're spreading nothing but false information and you didn't do the ONE thing I asked open beta testers to do.
So think whatever you want (regardless of how blatantly INCORRECT it is), but stay the hell out of my way. You're on my ever-increasing shit list and if you wish to remain here, I strongly suggest you re-evaluate what you say and do. Criticism is fine, flat out lies are not.

'Tis a very nice site must have taken you some time. I was also quite sick of the fact I was getting no cred from items, so this is a great advantage to me and thank you Sickboy

My pleasure.
And remember: 2.0 points WILL be converted (in a fashion) when we launch.

That's just something you'll have to deal with. We aren't touching 2.0 code anymore.
