How do YOU want 3.0 released?
I wasn't going to leave this decision up to the general public initially, but after reading some developer journals on other projects, people caution time and again to stay away from the "feature creep". which is exactly where 3.0 is at now. I am trying to cram as much as possible into a single release, and I'm a little afraid that it will be an ever-elusive implementation.
So I'm leaving it up to all of YOU. Would you prefer a basic release with just a general conversion of all existing features, leaving bonus features for later patches, or do you want to wait the long wait while we get everything implemented?
I'll caution against the latter primarily because of my burnout rate. This is not my full-time job and (at times) this is not what I wish to be doing every extra waking moment I have. Staggered releases allow us to continuously build on the site, but also have time away without too much guilt or impact.
So let us know by answering the poll. YOU will be deciding this, so voice your opinion or be stuck with a choice you may not want.

Besides, half those people (addressed by Redfalcon) need to learn the value of patience....

When I said other sections of WoW-V, I meant like in the creators you could see a screen shot of the model like you do now with the icons....
As it stands now, SickBoy is the only one familiar with the majority of code for this site. I've been able to go in and do minor tweaks and quick fixes when he wasn't around, but mostly, I can't even do enough to make it worth splitting most of the work. I've got my sections to do and I've been slow.
So. If anything, I think a staged or staggered release would be best. Give it a big old refacing & bug fixes. Then, have a planned update "patches". It gives you more satisfaction because you get more targeted feedback, the feeling things are actually getting done, and allows the only testing that finds all the bugs: live usage.

its like getting a new guitar but each string is given at later date, id much prefer a complete guitar (who wants to get me one? - dw i already have a decent one, now i need to learn to play it )
*** guitar talk not intended as a sidetracking of the thread, dont discuss guitars or me, or learning to play guitars, or individual strings, just stay away from everything non-3.0 related ***

On vamps blog post I'm still interested in what I and everyone else can do to help. Thats why I choose to do it the long way. But if vamps thing was all that we could do to help I might have been wrong.

The biggest guaranteed change either way is the completely revamped (and I do mean COMPLETELY) design and all the perks that come with that (better layouts, more informative stats, etc). FEATURE features are still up in the air at the moment.
At bare minimum we'd have to have at least a simple version of the reputation and rep tier system in place, as well as the new categories of APPROVED and PENDING items that are impacted by it. I'd also like to have the basics of the "Personal Items" feature done so that the rampant garbage items have a place to go.
Things that will most likely be held off from the initial release (if done that way) would be stuff like: awards, extra creators (sorry, no quest or creature creators right out of the gate), super advanced stats and leaderboards, etc.
