So, if you're interested could you leave a reply? I don't really want to set up a whole subforum if I'm the only one posting there...

I'd be interested.
Maybe should make it a poll? Easier than a ton having to state their opinion if they don't feel like it.

The point is, I want to see how many people are actually interested. I don't care if a million people weren't if ,lets say, 10 would be. Of course I could make a poll with something like "yes" and "maybe". Actually, I'm going to do one if I know how to

True. Unless you decide to buy the source code for UE3 you don't need C++ anywhere. Most of the scripting is done with UnrealScript, which is similar to Java. There are "visual" scripting methods for attaching objects to players and moving stuff around for example, and it can be done in Kismet and Matinee inside the UDK editor.

Kismet is ONLY to be used if you need something for a level or two.
UnrealScript is ONLY to be used if you need consistency throughout the game.

Minecraft aside there arent many great games that are in Java or other languages.
I'd prefer to know C++ because of how widely its used and needed.
Plus this is about game development in general

Those are not common for game creation. C# is primarily for Xbox 360 development, although it is gaining popularity. C++ is still industry standard. HTML5 is still too new to be much of anything except a bunch of high concept shit.
Game development these days is all about C++, LUA (for modifications, not necessary actual development), and Java for Minecraft (primarily). You can toss Flash and any scripting language related to suites like RPG Maker and whatnot into the pot as well.
That's not to say they *can't* be made in other language, but a game development sub-forum would have +90% of its posts for C++.
But Nightbane is right: there is no point in arguing this. The question is whether to make a game development sub-forum (which I probably will), not whether I'm going to make a shitload of sub-forums for each programming language (which I definitely won't). A game development forum would include EVERYTHING... concepts, art, programming, audio... anything game-creation-related would be in that area.

Didn't we do this with another forum which my brain is just slipping on?

I'll definitely be adding the sub-forum, by the way. If it gets popular, I WILL expand it to include specific sub-sub-forums for stuff like "looking for work" and "Releases" and whatnot that is specific to game development in general. It would essentially be like the Custom Releases/etc. sections, but for game development in general, not JUST WoW.
What the hell do I call this though? Just "Game Development"?

It means we'd have two programming forums but, one would be specificly for gaming the other outside gaming.
...Bleh, I gave it a shot.

I've been thinking of just doing streams of me programming, wow related and not wow related.
Look down, look down, you're standing in your grave...
