So the NHL regular season has officially ended, and so the playoffs begin. The matchups are as follows:

East:
(1) Rangers vs (8) Senators
(2) Bruins vs (7) Capitals
(3) Panthers vs (6) Devils
(4) Penguins vs (5) Flyers

West:
(1) Canucks vs (8) Kings
(2) Blues vs (7) Sharks
(3) Coyotes vs (6) Blackhawks
(4) Predators vs (5) Red Wings

I'm a hardcore Senators and Sharks fan so of course I'm going to be biased, but here are my predictions:
Sens over Rangers in 5
Bruins over Caps in 7
Devils over Panthers in 6
Flyers over Penguins in 7 (with a little help from Bryzgalov)

Canucks over Kings in 6 (Mostly because I hate the Kings)
Sharks over Blues in 5 (There's no way the Sharks can lose!)
Coyotes over Blackhawks in 6
Predators over Red Wings in 7 (Go Rinne!)

What do you guys think?

Well I'm from and currently residing in Vancouver, so my allegiance is to the Canucks behind the scenes, but that doesn't mean that to all the other fans I won't be hating on Luongo, the Sedins, and all the other idiots on the team I just can't stand (Seriously... Fuck Luongo, make Schneider #1).

But other then that, I'm really just cheering for the Coyotes (Know they're not gonna win) and the Bruins, cause the Bruins played one hell of a series last year.

I really think the Coyotes are going to go farther than everybody expects them to go. They have been really strong as of late and Mike Smith has been a beast for them. I wouldn't lose faith in them so quickly.

Very true, I haven't really seen them play at all so I can't really say that much about them. I just know last year they weren't all that amazing (I lived in Phoenix for a couple months so I saw a lot of their games... Not very eventful most of the time )

LA Kings take the win over Vancouver Canucks tonight 4-2 with a nice goal in the 3rd period with 3:00 minutes left and a lucky block. I called the Kings winning this one, and I believe the Canucks will win the next one. See you all Friday for Game #2!

West

Pretty much called all of them, except for a bunch of the ties. I thought the Senators would win, though.

lol Sharks. At least I still have the Senators. Really looking forward to the game tonight.

Too bad for the Canucks. It seems like all the former Western Conference powerhouses are going to get eliminated in the first round. Vancouver was downed by the Kings, the Sharks were downed by the Blues, the Red Wings were downed by the Predators, and it's not looking so great for Chicago right now against the Coyotes.
