Anyone else here play? I just started doing local draft tournys and such and I'm constructing my first serious deck.

Here's my deck I'm toying with.

Drop the NIghtbird's Clutches (if you're concerned about blocking, put some Crossway Vampires in instead), put in 2 more Tragic Slips and 2 more Stromkirk Captains. Drop a couple of Mountains and put in two or three Evolving Wilds.

Vampiric Fury might be handy, instant cast +2/+2 until the end of turn.

The Cobbled Wings aren't REALLY that necessary. With a low curve like this, you should win outright before you get too much of a beating.

But hey, another MTG player yay.

With the above said, I'm a fine one to talk, my deck flukes every win.

Some cards to consider
- Assault Strobe
- Inquisitor Flail (Seeing as you have all that first strike up in there).
- Go for the Throat (splash some more black)
- Goblin War Paint (Maybe over Furor of the Bitten)
- Ruthless Invasion
- Bloodlord of Vaasgoth maybe? He is an interesting (if late) card that makes your future vampires quite powerful. Could make you run things like Gut Shot for free Bloodthirst.

I haven't played since Rize of The Eldrazi...  Maybe I'll pick up a booster deck one of these days and give this Innistrad block a try.

My favorite block by far was the Lorwyn/Shadowmoor block.  I loved how fast you could down somebody with the R/W deck combos.

U/W runs the metagame currently. I'm guessing this is standard? Vamp aggro CAN work, but I wouldn't expect to make it to the finals.
Drop the Cobbled Wings playset.
Run a playset of Go for the Throat.
You need two more Stormkirk Captains.
Only other suggestion is two Vampiric Fury's.

Like anyone cares about tourneys. If you have to be the fag that shows up with a -omgthisdeckwonatournament- deck, then no-one is going to play you.

I'm speaking even in terms of local gameshop tournaments, or even a casual FNM night. People play to win, and you can expect U/W control out the ass, as it's simply beyond broken.
Unless you're playing with a small group of friends casually at someone's house, then my point stands. And if you ARE playing with a small group of friends, why play standard instead of Casual Legacy?

The current "top tier" deck of Cenobite ramp is ridiculous, I have however beat a few on Chimera by raw overwhelming of them. I'm also posting a lot of victories over U/B, although I have been locked down by heavy Tragic Slips.

Cobbled Wings actually help a lot, they allow early game Stromkirks to pass right by their defenses and building up to "safety", in my new build I've lowered the count to 3 and added another Captain, I also swapped out and put an Assault Strobe or two in (I have one in my actual physical deck) and its helpful but the fact its a sorcery means I have to wait for them to be completely wide open to take advantage of it.

I've learned quickly, Furor of the Bitten is actually ridiculous when combined with a Flying creature, nothing like having a 7/7 Flier on the field by turn 3 that's growing stronger per turn.

Won a two-headed giant sealed deck tourny last night (My partner was Blue/Black I was White/Green) flawless victory. In my winning booster packs I pulled a Foil Snapcaster Mage xD

I also pulled a Sorin, Lord of Innistrad in my first draft game.

I've bought 7 fatpacks and at least 2 boxes worth of boosters and still no Sorin.
