Yep, we dun did it finally. Prices and minimum advertising time have been permanently reduced to a ridiculous extent. Aside from VERY generous staff members that have been picking up the entire bill each month, we've had no donors or sponsors lately... but we have got to receive donations to stay alive and relying on one person is just not fair.

So everything has been cut big time. Hit up the jump, donate page, or donor and sponsor wiki articles to see the full details on the changes.

Donor status upgrade
Was: $15
Now: $5

Sponsor status upgrade (w/ advertising)
Was: $50, minimum of 2 months ads
Now: $15, minimum of 1 month ads

Advertising in general
Was: $0.8333 per day with a 60 day minimum (hence the $50)
Now: $0.50 per day with a 30 day minimum

A new discount price point has also been added for the 3 month mark (5% off).


This change will NOT be retroactive. We cannot afford to give every donor that originally paid at the $15 price full sponsor status with advertising. I waited until there hadn't been any new donations for quite some time, so everyone has most certainly gotten their money's worth and nobody got screwed with a "damn, shoulda waited another day to donate" -type situation.

I'll be applying to Gamestop and I've been told from my brother as well as my parents and friends that they said I'm someone they'd give a job to (one of my friends brother worked there).

No guarantee though, but I'd happily donate to WoW-V.

Same. If you already had *sponsor*, and you hadn't used your ad time yet, you still get the full 60 days (just be sure to mention that in the email so that I make sure to double check).

The retroactive stuff that won't happen is if you had donor and would technically have sponsor if you had donated now instead of then.
