Account Fraud
It has come to my attention that there are sites offering user names and passwords for accounts to be used here at WoW-V.com. This will not be tolerated.

I will be using every search engine and using every corner of my imagination as well as my skill as a researcher and I will find out what accounts are being abused. I will also be taking a great deal of interest in accounts whom change IPs on a frequent basis. Accounts deemed to have an excessive amount of IP traffic will NOT be immediately banned, but I will personally note each and every account and will compile a case against those accounts.

However, I have already banned and IP blocked a number of accounts found on a site I came across. When you share your account information, your violating privacy rules and breaching the trust of the members of this community. We hold a user's identity to be a commodity and any abuse of such is consider fraud.

It is not so much to ask that you present an identity when using the tools this site provides as you should only have to do this once. We don't ask a whole lot of random users other then respecting our members and following the rules.

Lots of changes
On another note, I am aware of a number of changes in both Ascent and Mangos emulators. If the tables have changed or a previously working creator now will not function on the latest Revisions of these emulators, please inform us in the main section of the forums.

As a reminder, the main section of the forums is strictly for issues with this site's usage and it's tools. The emulator specific subforums should be used for any issue relating to problems related to your emulator in the correct section.

Dedicated Server
We have reached our goal of 3 months worth of dedicated hosting costs! A HUGE thank you to those that donated! We are forever in your debt. If you donated and didn't get "Donator" status (and would like to have it), PM me (Sickboy) with the details. We tried to compare the PayPal account with registered email addresses, but not all of them matched up.

Anyway, the decision to move to a dedicated server is being finalized and we hope to be in our new, faster, non-"Suspended because of too much CPU usage" home by the end of April. We're hoping the transition will be quick and painless, so cross your fingers. More updates on the move will be provided later.

Google "Badware" Flag
As some of you may have noticed, we were recently flagged by Google as being a "potentially malicious" site. Obviously this came as a surprise since we don't even have ads with cookies, let alone host any kind of "Badware" (or ANY software, for that matter).

Once the flag was discovered, we immediately put in a request to be re-reviewed to both StopBadaware and Google. Several hours later, the flag was REMOVED. Granted the tarnishing of WoW-V's name has already been done, but you should all be reassured that the flag was removed because of a false positive, NOT because we were forced to remove malicious content (because we don't have any!).
