As many of you learned from the mass PMs that just went out, we now have an automated system to grant (and revoke) wiki editing access to users. We use a somewhat loose method of determining who is a "contributing" member, which is how the access is granted, but that may change.

The primary ways to lose your wiki editing access automatically are inactivity and getting suspended. Both of those will cause the permissions to be revoked, although you may still be eligible once you log back in or your suspension is expired.

On a final note, about 2/3 of the people that got access just now got 3 PMs: one stating they got access, another stating their access was revoked, and a final one re-stating that they got access. I apologize for that, but a slight bug caused it to occur (which has since been fixed). EVERYONE that got a PM does indeed have editing access now.

And remember: defacing the wiki = perma ban. Don't make us pistol whip you.

Note: This only impacts regular members. Donors, sponsors, and staff members always have editing access.

So Under "Contributing" I'm sure the person has to be R3+ with some activity in the forums?

I've seen rank 1s and 2s having wiki access. I guess it might depend on post count?

It depends on several factors, none of which are likely to be disclosed in order to keep trolls from purposely trying to gain access just to deface it.

Ok 1 question Sick i was exploring wiki information and i want to now.. do you want tutorials to be for wow v tools or for db's :)

Both are just fine! The wiki can be used for anything related to the WoW private server scene.

Make/use whatever you want. If you guys want to organize it in a completely different way, by all means do so.

and you can create a new template.

The last editing thing works, I just tried it when adding the LuaHypArc and LuaBridge methods to the wiki.
