Are you stuck on How To Make A WoW NPC And Do Not Know How To Add It To Your Server? Well here is the tutorial for you!

How To Make A WoW NPC/Mob

1. Go To http://wow-v.com

2. Click "Create"

3. Click Mob/NPC

[color=#33FF33]4. Type the name you want to name your NPC. I am naming mine simply Test

5. Type the Subname. This is the thing that shows a name below the persons actual name. such as:

   Test
<Tutorial>

For this tutorial i will name it Tutorial

6. The rank. I am going to put it as Rare Elite

7. The entry ID. This is the thing that you will type on your server to spawn the NPC. Type something under 6 Characters. I am going to put 109999

8. The display ID. This is what your character will look like when you spawn it. You can find lots of these at,

For this tutorial i will use 19706. Which is a Blood Elf

9. Faction. Everyone knows what that means. To put it so it can talk to Alliance and Horde, put the number 35.

10. Type. I always put Humanoid. Just simple.

11. Family. I put no family because it is not an animal. It is a Blood Elf.

12. Civilian Yes, Boss No

13. NPC Behavior. Just Put All The Settings I Have.

14. NPC Stats. Do Not Go To High On Armor, Mana, Min Health, Max Health. Just Put What I Got For A Test. You Can Change These On A Different NPC.

15. NPC Attack Stats. Again, Dont Go To High.

16. NPC Resists. You Can Put Anything Here.

17. NPC Options. Put Gossip.

18. NPC Gold Drop. You know what it means. If you or someone else kills the npc, it will drop that amount of gold/silver/copper. I put 1 Gold

19. Skip the NPC Advanced Options. That is intended for people who use LUA Scripts.

20. Click "Submit" Then "Download".

21. Choose whatever core you use. (ArcEmu,MaNGOS,Trinity,Ascent,Aspire)

22. Click Download Batch DO NOT CLOSE OUT OF THE WEBPAGE YET IF YOU ARE USING ARCEMU!

23. Find your .sql file. Drag it to your desktop

3. Open Up Navicat Or HeidiSQL (I Am Using Navicat)

4. Double-Click Your WoW Connection Name

7. Right Click, Click "New Query"

8. Load Your SQL From Your Desktop

9. Click "Run"

10. Now If An Error Occurs That Says 'unknown unk4 in field list' or whaterver for  ArcEmu Repack People, Click The 2nd ArcEmu Box "Download Batch" From That Website You Should Still Have Open.

Otherwise, your entry id is taken, just change the first number on the rows.

11. Now Go Into World Of Warcraft, Sign In, Go Someplace Random, type your entry id. (For this tutorial, we used 109999) here is what you type in to spawn your first npc!

I see a lot of "Just do what I did" and "Ignore that" in your guide. Remember, people are not always going to create the exact same mob you are creating and if it differs, they will be at a loss of what to do. Maybe go more into those details and actually explain what some of the extra fields are? I know you probably don't use them, but other people might. And it would just help everyone reading :)

I doubt that navicat is easier that way than heidisql.

If you use heidisql, you can just double click the sql file, log in to your DB, click the world DB and hit "run" or F9.

Ofc I am a fan of heidisql, but its cause its good and doesnt error up on different comment markings, it also has more functions (or atleast I didnt find such from navicat).
It also has the nice looks.


Some ppl might also think that the "Server" is the actual server, not MySQL server (DB).

I understand, i was just making a tutorial for beginners. I might make a better tutorial on this since this topic only took about an hour. If i make a new one i will explain in more detail about everything like the model size, gold drop, etc.

I understand that there are alot of pictures. But i made this for beginners. People who have no idea what they are doing. Like i used to. But i successfully figured it out. So i decided to make a tutorial. Oh and i made the text smaller but i am keeping the pictures and making a new tutorial :D

I wonder why do people still use wow-v to create things?
I mean it is 4 jobs to do : go to site, put information, download sql batch, import it in db, while if you do it right in db you will be only doing one job :D but i guess ppl cant learn few columns and what values can it have :D

WoW-V is not the only way to do it, Eatos. Sure you can go and do it in the Database but that is only if you know what the hell you are doing and have extensive knowledge of the database, the columns, and the values. For beginners, pretty much all of that is "Waddefuck?". That is where WoW-V comes in.

If you "wonder why people still use WoW-V", then why don't you go to SickBoy and tell him that his creators are useless and everybody should just learn the values themselves.

Not everybody is as smart as you, Eatos, and I would appreciate it if these types of comments were not made in the threads I am helping, especially Guides like this one. They are unhelpful, entertaining, and don't really have any meaning of gumph behind them.

It is not useless they are good for start but after some time people get used to it and learn nothing and then spam around on forums how to make this, how to make that and etc :S

So? That is the way of the world. This gives them the boost they need to creating Items, Mobs, etc. What they do after is not our problem. If they continue to use the creators, that is their own choice because they would rather have it all layed out for them rather than insert their own values and shit. If they go and "spam around on forums how to make this", then all the more power to them. They are helping those that are beginners and don't know what they are doing. Personally I never insert new rows into the database by hand, I almost always use the WoW-V creators. To edit rows I do it by hand of course, but inserting is always through WoW-V because my brain is too spastic to remember all the values correctly.

I would appreciate it if you did not post back, Eatos. This discussion is over.

I guess people are lazy to learn something new but what was my point is that you save your time by doing it in db, due you dont need first to be connected to the internet.What would you do if for some reason you cant connect to the network but you wanted to badly to create few things..Waith for it to pop up or try to build in db :D
This is just my vision of whole this thing.It is easy in the start when you dont know anything.Good for starters :) Plus i really like that i can make everything in db, you know somethings you cant create on this site :P

Also: You need an internet connection to connect to a database, unless the database is hosted locally which is not ideal if you are trying to run a serious server or atleast one that will get off the ground.

The exact same way as you made the first one... Its not that hard, you can just repeat the steps for each time you do it..

i have problem...after i click the run button...i got error [Err] 1054 - Unknown column 'modelid_1' in 'field list'

...n i cant seem to fix it...can anyone know how to fix it..??

What is your core, which download did you use and can you show the SQL?

Should work on latest mangos.
I assume you either have a very old core or it is not 3.3.5a mangos. ( the real mangos from here: https://github.com/mangos/mangos)

As you can see here, the column is in the recent mangos and should not error:

maybe...but i used mangos on tbc...maybe thats the problem
