Sounds like an individual suffering from pain gains extreme powers, which caused him to go all "I will rule the world and shape it to my image." under any circumstances; Destroying everything and everyone. (Pretty much how most animes for some reason appears these days?)

The individual uses the power wrong; a scourge to the people that wishes rather for the World's End than it's flourishing.

If the individual succeds, it will only bring hatred and suffering to the people, those that follow him war against those that oppose; creating suffering for the both sides, and in the end labels him as the Prophet, of darkness, and the bringer of suffering that won't heal.

The 'agony, pain you'll put that to shame with just a single call' doesn't sound much sense to me, mostly towards "You tried to escape it by trying to reach new powers in hope of never having to feel it again."

By attaining power; People will listen, such an strong individual could get followers by merely saying "I'll give you any power." and they would listen, perhaps that would suit for "Test humanity's greed (hunger for power)"

Those that doesn't follow him would for the sake of the best; march towards the empire he had created with his new underlings. (As stated above, trough promises of power etc.)

"See us fall." suddenly abrupts into "you will fall." perhaps "We fall, but we will rise; Just so we can knock you down from the heigths"

"You'll remember your own call." could be said "This was your choice; Are you happy with it? Remember should we pass here, you shall see the consequences of your choice."

As with "listening to your people's scream; Dammit all! Dammit all!" "Listen as your followers fall one by one; In a chorus they curse you for manipulating them into this bad choice."

The 'starchild' (usually ment in the term as 'an being from another planet') lost the battle, there is nothing left for him here; and there's nothing he can do to stop that. He have lost the battle, all his power, his might could not overthrow the wishes and ideals of the people.

Being told to leave this planet with the words "Tell when you come home of your might, what that happened here tonight. Your lust for power was very well what that decided this; You have no knowledge about us from this planet, and you lacked a reason to conquer it. That's why we, who live to defend this planet; Can fight all the way to the end; Cause we have a reason to fight.
