The next version of WoW-V, dubbed "v4", is almost complete! There are only two tasks left on my list... one relating to the staff backend (simply finishing up a few remaining tasks), and the other is to edit all the v4 files to link properly when dropped into the root folder.

So what does this mean in terms of a release date? Tonight (although I guess it's technically morning) or tomorrow night. If I can do the remaining tasks in the next hour or two it'll come out as soon as I'm done. If not, I'll wait until tomorrow night to do it so that the peak hours aren't impacted.

If you haven't experienced v4 yet, you're in for a big surprise compared to v3, and if you're worried about not understanding the new features, hop onto our forums and read some v4-related threads or ask some questions.

I'll make another announcement when we're ready for launch. Until then, my slithery minions of the deep!

So, SickBoy, will the people using the V4 skin have to manually change to the default skin, will everyone automatically swap to the default skin or isn't it needed to do so at all?

Besides being concerned for a few friends, I'm fine.  I just figured it was polite to warn you not to hug SickBoy.  You may find his re-action quite violent and in the name of self defense of a perceived attack upon clear violation of his personal space.

It will be done automatically as the old files are overwritten.  V3 will cease to exist outside back-ups.
