Item Ranking Changes

The previous script simply ordered by the total points, from highest to lowest. The new script orders by:
1. Total points (highest to lowest)
This gives total points (from votes and badges) the top priority. Since this is the same as before, the items in the top positions haven't changed much.
2. Then by ((plus votes + total badges) - downvotes) (highest to lowest)
This gives items with more overall plus votes and badges the next priority. This begins what the remaining two priorities finish in terms of "fine tuning" the ranks.
3. Then by (total votes + total badges) (highest to lowest)
This gives items with the most overall votes and badges the next priority, a kind of "who has had the most activity" indication.
4. Then by date (oldest to newest)
This gives older items the final priority (they were there first, after all), assuming ALL the other priorities are the exact same.
This should stop some of the drastic movement of items that have a common amount of points (such as none). Decent older items should remain in the same general spot now, except when new items actually get more points, plus votes, or badges than them (giving a proper indication that the item is considered "better").
Sounds confusing, even to me when I re-read it, but the overall theme here is: stuff should make more sense in regards to rank movement and rank placement, and that rank is going to be much more important, in preparation for the v4 release.
Tonight's script has been run twice: once without badges being taken into consideration, which I decided against after considering it, and once with the proper script as described above. This means the "movement" (the red/green up and down arrows + numbers) of ranks won't be accurate until tomorrow night's cycle.

ORDER BY total_points DESC, ((plus_votes + badges_blizz + badges_fun + badges_humor + badges_unique) - down_votes) DESC, (plus_votes + down_votes + badges_blizz + badges_fun + badges_humor + badges_unique) DESC, date ASC
Unfortunately, for v3 users, this means browsing and ordering by total points on an item may cause the ranks to skip around (since it's more than points that impacts rank now).
For v4 users, this change has been implemented in the Browse page, and the link on the author profile has been adjusted, but there are still a few features that will need to be changed later on. Those features impact v3, so for now I won't be adjusting them.

Was that really necessary? Calling me an admin is perfectly valid. Granted my role is very different from other admins (since I'm the only developer and designer), but it's close enough. I understand what you're trying to say, and I appreciate it, but it comes off as being overly harsh towards other members.

Or is that just called SickBoy's bitch? Woah, I somehow switched my screen to the right instead of the left, the fuck?

The new version lets those items be sorted intelligently so that they can be fairly ranked, instead of just arbitrarily shoved into one of the slots items with the same amount of points inhabit.
It's more complicated, yes, but with good reason.
