We're nearing the end of the month (August 2010) and we haven't yet met 1/2 of the server costs in donations. I unfortunately do not have the means to support WoW-V financially on my own anymore, so if we can't at least get close to meeting the goal each month, WoW-V will have to be shut down until I have the stable flow of income to revive it (which could be a very long time).

If you can help, and would like to support the ongoing development of these kick ass tools, please do as it would be a shame to close WoW-V after all this time just because of money issues. Check out our Donate page (linked in the top navigation) to contribute and to see the benefits you get for becoming a donor or sponsor (remember: sponsors get prime advertising spots on WoW-V!), and feel free to ask any donation-related questions in this post.

I can donate a bit every month, but its really gonna fuck me over in the long run...
If WoW-V dies though, I'll be fucked anyway so I'll see what I can do.
Right now though, I could donate all my money(And I do mean all) and it wouldn't even pay the bill.

I think if you made the Donate tab more intrusive and had big red text saying 'Donate if you want these tools to remain on the internet!' something might happen.

WoW-V isn't going to instantly die if we don't make the donations this month, it's next month onwards that I'm more concerned with. I just wanted to remind everyone that we survive solely on donors to pay our server costs.

Dunno if such things can even have this kind of sites O.o
(can provide a sql server, apache and space to upload things (create files), but those are usually small and with only +-3 user slots available for database.)

I would donate, but I dont have a card.. only cash and a lot of it, since im a really cheap person ._.

WoW-V will most likely become an invite-only website and move to a cheaper plan from Host Gator. It has been considered at times.

I was thinking you could charge $1 to register a new account, but that would go against your "everyone should be able to use this site" policy. Just a passing thought.

I logged onto my non donor account to see if it changed, and it didnt. That's hardly intrusive, it just sits over the reflection of the WoW-V Logo.
