Shields and trinkets seem to work for now, but if blizz decided to get froggy and change how the client pulls info for all items im ready for it, ive got all my programs ready and the parsing SQL ready.

Who knows maybe patch 3.3.3 or 3.3.5 will do that...

Hey Deep6ixed,

It's actually like this now, on ArcEmu anyway. I'm not sure for other cores. Both our Aspire and ArcEmu cores have non-working shields. (Unless using a Blizzard ID.)

I'd rather just insert items with unused Entry ID's than have every single person who visits my server download a patch. With 5000+ unique visitors a day minimum, that's alot of people downloading a small patch when I could just as easily use un-used Entry ID's.

luckly you are running fun server.Those un used items wont be un used on blizzlike db and server

Bad Db i addmit some of those items un used i am adding to creatures for example 45900 is mace equipped on Thorim

the id's are used by NPC for visual effects only.  the dbc contains the display id, and weapon types and subtype and a few other small detials such as materials.  BUT these numbers do not exist in the items or item_template tables.  You can use them for your own weapons with out worry of messing anything up in your database. 

The whole point of this is to prevent people from having to make custom MPQ's.  Ive used them on blizz and fun servers with no issues at all.

well cus most db dont know yet about this.. i am doing update for LHDB first i will re do all area triggers then small updates for creatures in Ulduar bosses to have right wep equipped

Don't be afraid, no virusses, just 2 PHP files and 1 SQL file.
Make a new Database called "weapon_creator", and import the SQL file in there. It will include all weapon EntryID's found in the pastebin link, but now in different tables for every type of weapon. Then host the 2 PHP files on your server/local/whereever you like, configure the Hostname, username etc for SQL, and you're ready.

All credits go to deep6ixed ofcourse :) (for the ID's, credits for the tool are for me :P )

The tool is veeeery easy to install/use, and I use it all the time now, now I don't have to scrap something from the list of unused ID's, it does that automaticly now :)
